Arctic Algae

Sustainable culturing of microorganisms for pharmaceuticals, food, aquaculture and decarbonisation applications

Who we are:

Arctic Algae is a pharmaceutical and biotechnology company harnessing microalgae to create sustainable innovations that advance health, support aquaculture, and drive industrial solutions

Our mission:

To unlock the potential of microalgae to create innovative, eco-conscious solutions that improve health, advance aquaculture, and drive sustainable industrial practices.

Where we are:

Arctic Algae is strategically located on the pristine north-west coast of Norway, where some of the world’s cleanest seawater and freshest air provide ideal conditions for cultivating our microalgae.

Our Main Research Streams:

Harnessing Microalgae Lipids for Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical application:

We develop high-quality algal lipids to create innovative pharmaceutical and nutritional products that are both effective and sustainable.

Algae-Based Decarbonisation with Flue Gas:

Our microalgae capture industrial CO₂, producing biomass while reducing emissions and supporting a circular, eco-friendly approach.

Live Prey for Marine Larvae Using Microalgae:

We cultivate live microalgae-fed prey to improve the nutrition and survival of marine larvae in sustainable aquaculture.

Developing Oral Fish Vaccines with Microalgae:

We design oral vaccines using microalgae to protect fish health while minimizing environmental impact in aquaculture.
